First Camping Trip

On the Fourth of July weekend, we took Eva on her first camping trip.  We went to Bodega Dunes, pretty much the only camping spot available.  Eva loved it!

She roasted her first marshmallow.

She ate her first smores.

We went on a bluff walk.  This was the first time we heard the words “wop wop” (walk).  She had to have walked at least a mile.  Maybe two!

This trip was also the first time Eva ran into the street.  Our camping site was not sheltered from the road, and she loved to run into the street when we’d tell her not to.  She thought it was hilarious.

Sleep was a little hard.  Both nights she woke up crying once.  Here she is looking crabby, but cute, in the morning.

She was completely wiped out afterward.  And filthy.  She had a good long bath when we got home.

Eva’s Love Affair With a Burrito

When Eva really enjoys what she’s eating, she tends to hug it so no one else can get at it.  A few weeks ago, we went to Mission Dolores Park to see the SF Symphony.  We bought some burritos on the way.  Eva was supposed to be sharing this one with her Dad, but she wouldn’t give it up.

Eva actually chose that hat herself when we went to the store.

Hot Sunday

We were originally going to go to a toddler play today, but it was too hot to leave the house.  So Eva and I painted a side of her cardboard house, and Dad started making an easel.  It got messy.

Eva Fishes

Eva and I joined a toddler hiking class.  Eva can walk a pretty far distance.  She is also completely fascinated with nature.  Here she is fishing with a stick, string, and a gummy worm.  She was not successful.
