Eva celebrated her first Thanksgiving! Last year, I was in my ninth month of pregnancy, having trouble waddling around and expecting a baby any day. This year was much more relaxing.
I want to give thanks for my beautiful daughter and for the ability to spend so much time with my little munchkin. I also want to give thanks for all of our family and friends who have been extremely supportive and given so much love to Eva. I want to give thanks for my wonderful husband who is the most amazing father and incredible co-parent. Here’s to many more Thanksgivings with Eva to come!

A few weeks ago Eva went to her first Raiders game. Check out the awesome seats we had above. I’m think we could see our house. Eva liked the football players running off the field and the cheerleaders running around (they looked like tiny ants.) The score was 0 to 24 in favor of Atlanta. The Raiders did manage to score a first down. It was pretty embarrassing. Plus, there are rumors that Michael Vick is going to be the Raiders quarterback when he gets out of prison, and since one of Eva’s first words is “dooogch” I don’t think that’s going to fly with her. Any suggestions for an NFL team for Eva?

I have been completely remiss in updating the blog, and I have so much to tell you. Life is just flying by right now. I have so many entries to make, but to tide you over I will tell you about today’s very exciting development. Eva draws with crayons! I knew she was ready when she found a pen and pad of paper I had written some notes on. She traced the letters (very messily) with the pen. So I grabbed some crayons and the video camera and she got cracking. I am so proud of her. And I am proud of myself for getting the video camera to record this milestone. I don’t think anyone is as proud of Eva as she is of herself though (see little dance below). (Also, Eva used to be deathly afraid of the vacuum. Since she made friends with it, the the cleanliness of our house has vastly improved.)
Eva developed this great little seated drawing dance.
The first time Eva draws ever. WARNING: This might be a video only a parent or cognitive development expert could love (aka boring to others).
