Eva is so much fun to travel with. She is completely portable. We can take her wherever, lay out a blanket and don’t have to worry too much about everything being baby-proofed. The ideal trip is two hours away, so she gets a good nap in the car, and doesn’t get too bored in the car seat. A few weekends ago, we had planned to go to my parents house, but due to fires all over the state, anything not directly on the coast was filled with hazardous air. I could not subject my daughter’s new tiny lungs to this, so we went up the coast to Fort Ross. We saw some weird stuff. Do you think babies can get carsick?

I think it is going to be hard for little EV to witness anything stranger in her life than that magnificent Octopus! I rate it as on of the most bizarre things I have ever seen and I have quite a few more years of life experience than she does
